Understand the Motor Vehicles Act
Other language: हिंदी
The Motor Vehicles Act separates the driver, vehicle, transport service and accident responsibilities. Choose a topic, use the examples to understand the distinctions, then read the complete section. This is section-based learning, not an application or challan-payment service.
A reading map
Driver licence → vehicle registration → permits for transport use → insurance → accident duties. Read offences and procedures separately. This is a learning map, not a mandatory sequence for every service.

Reading the 2026 edition
The English reader uses India Code's edition as on 15 August 2026. It includes commenced Jan Vishwas changes such as section 14's thirty-day proviso and section 177's conditional warning. An older consolidation, a proposed Bill and commenced text are not interchangeable. Schedules and amendment notes remain available in the complete government PDF.
