IPC Section 470: Forged document or electronic record
Indian Penal Code, 1860 · Chapter 18: Offences relating to Documents and Property Marks
Repealed on 1 July 2024 and replaced by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS).
A false 1[document or electronic record] made wholly or in part by forgery is designated “a forged 1[document or electronic record]”.
