Indian Evidence Act, 1872

The Indian Evidence Act, 1872 governed evidence in Indian courts until 30 June 2024. From 1 July 2024 it was repealed and replaced by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.

Repealed on 1 July 2024 and replaced by the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (BSA).
