Sudoku is the classic number-placement puzzle: fill a 9×9 grid so every row, column and 3×3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 exactly once. No maths is involved, only logic.

How to play Sudoku

Tap an empty cell.
Tap a digit on the keypad to fill it in.
Switch to notes to pencil in candidates you are not sure about yet.
Complete the grid to finish the level.

Rules

Each row must contain the digits 1 to 9 once.
Each column must contain the digits 1 to 9 once.
Each of the nine 3×3 boxes must contain the digits 1 to 9 once.
The starting digits can't be changed.

Tips to get better

Start with the digit that already appears most often on the board.
For each box, ask where a missing digit can still go; often there is only one cell.
Use notes on harder puzzles, and clear them as you place digits.
If a row, column or box highlights a conflict, fix it straight away before it spreads.
