IPC Section 26: “Reason to believe”

Repealed on 1 July 2024 and replaced by the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS).
A person is said to have "reason to believe" a thing, if he has sufficient cause to believe that thing but not otherwise.
